Air Quality Monitoring

Obtain Precise & Reliable Air Quality Monitoring

Monitoring ambient air is important for measuring short- and long-term effects of pollution on the environment and population health. These networks are managed by all levels of the government to establish trends and models for new environmental standards and to provide air quality data to the public. Locating the air monitoring stations near roads, schools, and industry helps to determine the source of pollution, if it is caused by industry emissions and how it affects our population.

AMETEK MOCON provides custom application analyzers, including the Baseline 9100 GC and 9000 THA, to measure volatile organic compounds such as aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes) and non-methane hydrocarbons which are normally not naturally occurring at part-per-billion and part-per-trillion levels. Other compounds commonly monitored the Baseline 9100 GC include: styrene, 1,3-butadiene, ethylene oxide, dimethyl ether, and vinyl chloride.
