    Advanced Permeation Applications Training
The better you understand how to run our instruments, the more accurate your permeation tests will be.

We’ve offered permeation equipment training for years, but in response to customer feedback, we’ve drawn on our two decades-plus of testing experience to create a comprehensive new advanced permeation training course.

Over a few days at either your office or our headquarters, we will guide up to four people through accurate and reproducible film and/or package permeation testing techniques. You'll also receive a PowerPoint classroom session on permeation basics that you can use to teach your coworkers.

(Please note: In-person Advanced Permeation Applications Training is available to U.S. customers in the 48 contiguous United States only. We are also now offering remote training for international customers, and U.S. customers in Alaska and Hawaii. Please consult our Advanced Permeation Applications Training brochure on the right side of this page for more details.)

From Foods to OLEDS: The Critical Role of Gas and Vapor Permeation Webinar
Are your permeation results driving better packaging decisions — or leaving your team with more questions than answers?

Join AMETEK MOCON lab manager Joel Fischer on June 23 for a free webinar, "From Foods to OLEDS: The Critical Role of Gas and Vapor Permeation," hosted by Packaging World. This practical, application-focused session is built for packaging engineers, R&D professionals and quality teams who need to bridge the gap between test data and real-world shelf-life performance.

In this session, you'll learn how leading teams are:

    • Interpreting OTR, WVTR and CO2TR data with greater clarity
    • Understanding how environmental conditions affect permeation results
    • Identifying vulnerabilities in seals, seams, and closures
    • Comparing film vs. whole-package testing approaches
    • Applying data to improve material and design decisions

We hope you'll register at the link below and join AMETEK MOCON and Packaging World for this exciting conversation!

Q4 Permeation Newsletter
Watch as Joel Fischer, the longtime lab manager of AMETEK MOCON, gives an in-depth exploration of high-barrier encapsulation and edge diffusion pathways. Learn how several key factors affect water vapor transmission rates (WVTR)

Safeguarding Beverage Quality
Food and beverage safety begins with clean carbon dioxide (CO₂). In the beverage industry, quality is essential and behind the scenes, CO₂ plays a vital role in carbonation. Yet, when its purity is compromised, the impact can extend well beyond taste.

Testing Nonwoven Materials Through WVTR
Nonwoven materials – characterized by their web-like structure and production without weaving or knitting – have found widespread application in various industries, including healthcare, packaging and filtration. Understanding the water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of these materials is crucial for numerous reasons.

Building the Perfect Package Webinar
With our Lab Manager, Joel Fischer, discover how whole package testing is essential for ensuring product shelf-life and overall performance of the entire packaging system.
