Specialty and Industrial Gases

AMETEK MOCON offers several solutions to monitor contaminants in specialty and industrial gases, including Gas Chromatographs and Total Hydrocarbon Analyzers. These analyzers set the bar for monitoring contaminants in beverage grade CO2, as set forth in the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT) “Bulk Carbon Dioxide Quality & Food Safety Guidelines.” In addition, these analyzers provide similar measurements in bulk industrial gases, like N=nitrogen and hydrogen.

Product solutions for beverage grade CO2 and industrial gases:
  • CHA Total Hydrocarbon Analyzer looking for trace levels of impurities
  • Model 9100 Gas Chromatograph for identifying levels of acetaldehyde, methanol, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes – this can provide valuable insight into potential contamination sources from feed gas, production and distribution processes
  • Model 9100 Total Sulfur Gas Chromatograph monitoring for sulfur impurities, excluding sulfur dioxide. It is important to ensure there is no unwanted odor in beverage grade CO2.
  • CHA Total Carbon Analyzer for identifying complete carbon content in a sample
With hundreds of installations, MOCON’s BASELINE Gas Analyzers are globally recognized as leading instrumentation to measure trace levels of contaminants in specialty gases.
  • Beverage Grade CO2 Impurities

MOCON’s BASELINE Gas Analyzers provide excellent low detection of unwanted impurities in Beverage Grade CO2 applications.
