Commercial sterilizers are needed to sterilize medical devices prior to use. In many cases, they use ethylene oxide (EtO) as the sterilant.
But while it's a great sterilizer, EtO can also be harmful to human health. The BASELINE EtO Gas Chromatograph accurately measures low levels of EtO, down to 1 ppb, and can pull samples from different locations within the sterilization facility.
If EtO levels are above prescribed levels, alarms are immediately initiated to alert workers of potentially unsafe conditions and they can take action, like leaving the facility.
